I would never have thought of relating The Princess Bride with The Munsters, until last night.
That was when I recognised Miracle Max as an aged Grandpa Munster.
So this clearly means – judging by the photographic evidence below – that Billy Crystal, who played both these characters, must be about 111 years old! Amazing! The proof is in the pudding.

I can’t believe I have missed out on this genre for so long… Sure I’ve seen signs of it in Miyazaki’s films like Howl’s Moving Castle and Ponyo (Not sure what Walt Disney has got to do with them? Maybe just the translation…) but didn’t realise there was a whole category behind the style;

The Victorian era/style fused with modern technology. It’s the future. But … set… in the past…
No puedo creer que me haya perdido este género durante tanto tiempo… Claro que he visto algunas señales de ello en las películas de Miyazaki como El castillo ambulante y Ponyo (¿No estoy seguro de qué tiene que ver Walt Disney con ellos? Quizás sea la traducción…) pero no me había dado cuenta de que había toda una categoría detrás de ese estilo;

At least that’s the way I see him every time I see his little face on the show… However having stuck them together like that, they don’t actually look that much alike… But I’ve done it now… Uploaded it and everything… Would be a shame just not to post it.

Sin embargo al ponerlos así quietos y juntos, realmente no se parecen tanto… Pero ahora lo he hecho… Subido y todo… Sería una vergüenza no postearlo.
